Total Cash

Cash and near-cash on the latest annual balance sheet

Definition

Cash and cash equivalents (or cash plus short-term investments if the narrower line is empty). On FMP Starter this comes from the annual balance sheet when the profile object has no cash field.

Cash and cash equivalents, or cash + short-term investments

Example

Apple holding ~$36B of cash equivalents is a liquidity buffer, not the same as free cash flow.
